A’ Design Award and Competition is proud to inform that the lighting design Benaki Museum Pavilion, Greece by Architectural Study: Kois Associated Architects became winner of the notable Silver A’ Design Award in Lighting Products and Lighting Projects Design Category chosen as the winner by the respected judges of the A’ Design Awards & Competitions among a great number of submitted works.
Eleftheria Deko, the creator of the awarded design Benaki Museum Pavilion, Greece explains “The signature entrance iron door holds exhibit cases and the concept was the lighting to be part of the structure. The lighting of the interior is also discreet and achieved with adjustable spots in recessed tracks between the ceiling wooden beams, so as not to interfere with the general aesthetics, but to provide lighting adaptability. The aluminum foam shelves with their shimmering glow are given more emphasis with a dramatic effect of the cove lighting in cool white. The desired atmosphere was completed by tiny recessed track spotlights in the shelves, to highlight the artifacts.” Read more about the award winning design here
