Conrad Athens The Ilisian, formerly the Hilton Athens and a landmark of Greek modernism, has been reintroduced to the city with a renewed architectural and functional identity.
Edeko’s lighting design encompasses the building’s façades, exterior areas, shared interiors, and dining and hospitality spaces throughout the complex.
Respecting the building’s history, clear geometry and monumental marble reliefs by Yannis Moralis, the lighting reveals its architectural character through restrained interventions, subtle gradations and contrast. Within the interiors, light connects the historic and contemporary elements, creating a coherent experience that accompanies visitors from arrival throughout their stay.
