Eleftheria Deko was interviewed for the”Greek Citizens of the World” program on ANT1 TV

There Is a Greek Everywhere. The entire essence of the documentary series “Greeks, Citizens of the World” is encapsulated in this phrase. The series is part of the National Program of Actions and Events of the “Greece 2021” Committee and is produced under its auspices, with the HELLENIC PETROLEUM Group as Action Sponsor.

The Protagonists

In this new production, the protagonists are Greek “citizens of the world” who excel abroad and leave their mark on the political, social, cultural, and economic development of the places that host them. People with skills, knowledge, networks, and influence—capable of shaping and co-creating, of building and contributing.

The Idea and the Creators

Conceived and curated by Marianna Skilakaki and Sylvia Klimaki, and directed by Angelos Tsaousis, the project “Greeks, Citizens of the World” presents cosmopolitan Greeks who honored Greece and carried it with them to the places where they studied and worked, and to the places they loved—often as a second homeland. Greeks who returned, enriching Greece with ideas and capabilities, as well as Greeks who still live abroad while continuing to invest in their homeland. Thanks to the significant support of the HELLENIC PETROLEUM Group, which singled out the action “Greeks, Citizens of the World” from among hundreds of others, we discover their stories and come to understand Hellenism as a living, broad, and dynamic concept. The guests speak about what they bring with them each time they return to Greece and envision the ways in which the diaspora—this valuable reservoir of Greeks around the world—can contribute to the next ambitious chapter that Hellenism can write.

The Series

The series consists of eight 30-minute episodes, featuring the following individuals:
Kimon Angelidis, Kostas Grammatis, Maria Demertzis, Eliza Konofagou, Michalis Bletsas, Eleftheria Deko, Nikos Stathopoulos, Martha Tsigkari. Read the Publication here Watch the episode here

Conceived by Eleftheria Deko and Associates lighting design studio, this impressive illumination concept has involved our linear bars of the Parade L series for the specific enhancement of the southern fortification wall of the Acropolis.

On the 30th of September 2020, the new lighting of the Acropolis and its monuments, strongly wanted and supported by the Onassis Foundation, was unveiled to the world. Even so, by making a little time for swimming in the rich blue waters of the Aegean, Ionian, Crete – Greece has so many lovely beaches to choose from – your thoughts are refreshed, concerns are eased and life becomes sweet and beautiful again!

Holidays, this year, imply introspection. There is nothing more appropriate than Greece’s scenery, the diversity of Greek nature, for reflection. Its simplicity teaches moderation, beauty and while inhaling the fragrant air, you feel optimistic again.
